On March 21, 2024, DA-PhilRice Apayao hosted the Provincial Rice Technology Forum (PRTF) for the Dry Season 2023-2024. This one-day event brought together rice farmers, agricultural researchers, and industry experts to discuss and showcase the latest advancements in rice technology and best practices.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Opening Ceremony:

The day began with a formal opening ceremony, where local officials and key figures in rice agriculture delivered welcoming addresses. Their speeches emphasized the critical role of technology in improving rice production and the commitment of DA-PhilRice to supporting the agricultural community in Apayao.

Technical Presentations:

The core of the forum was dedicated to a series of technical presentations. Experts shared insights on recent advancements in rice technology, including new rice varieties, innovative pest management strategies, and modern irrigation techniques. The presentations aimed to provide farmers with up-to-date information and practical tools to enhance their rice farming operations.
